This little green amp sounds much better than expected. Matched with an Akai AP-001C turntable (Audio Technica AT-52E cartridge) and Infinity Alpha speakers, bi-wired with a billion-garage dollar store speaker wire (a thin!), the sounds created are quite fine. Definitely ‘HiFi’ fizz, but very impressive imaging and tonal realism. Just not totally convincing as true high fidelity sound reproduction. It is very heavy for its size - I imagine the power transformer is the bulk of that stuff that weight. Anyone know how much headroom it has?
